Lemur Landings Re- Launch

When I said to TJ Lemur Landings at Tower Park Poole was re - launching a updated version of the fantastic indoor play area he bounced around the room saying he wanted to go.
Keeping in mind TJ is now 9 years old and very excited to be going.

When arriving we had a meet and greet with two very cheeky and fun Pirate Lemurs. Lewey and Lola characters were so much fun they had me in giggles of laughter throughout the  time we were with them.

The new Play village was so much fun although its for small children I had more fun dashing in and out a pretending to be different shop owners and the police.

Next was the climbing wall with four different sections and light up steps reaching a height of 5 metres.
There is a weight allowance minimum being 2st and maximum being 17st.
The best part about the wall is being able to race others to the top and hit the button to stop the timer.
When it's quiet you can have as many goes as you want although when it busy there is a token system working.

TJ was to big to go on the smaller child's adventure area, which looked like so much fun.
The area was raised from the ground and the children had to wear harnesses

Pizza was served as food at the re-launch and I have to say it was better then Pizza hut's. Our favorite flavor was the BBQ chicken and sweetcorn.
The pizza's had plenty of cheese and lots of flavor.

Bellz! The challenging magnetic game

When the nephews come round to play there's only one thing to do, crack open the newest game in the house. This game has a magnetic wand with four different colored bells.

The idea of the game is to choose a color bell and to collect all the bellz of that color without touching or collecting any other color on the wand.

When collecting the bellz its harder then you'd think to collect one color. I love a challenge in a game though.

The youngest nephew dove straight in with a little help from his Dad they managed to get 3 before picking up any other colors. This ended their go. With the oldest nephew taking charge collecting 5 bellz and then TJ then taking his go and collecting 3 it was my go. Taking just 2 bellz before my turn was over I found the game to be very frustrating but fun at the same time.

The end results after a little cheating from the nephews and TJ, I lost pretty badly with the nephews drawing and TJ wiping the pouch clean of his colors.

Overall the game was highly entertaining and kept us all busy for about 45 minutes. We played best out of 4 games and I still lost but enjoyed every second.

Super cute Pencil pets create your own kitten kit.

Pencil pets are super cute and made out of rubber, these kittens attach through and on top of your child's pencil making writing fun.
Pencil pets come in two different colors
  • Orange and purple
  • Pink and blue
I received the orange and purple pack. everything in the picture below was included in the box.

After we choose which pieces we were going use we set about putting our kittens together.

After putting Kittens together on there own pencils adding different extra parts like the sunglasses or the badges.

The end result whilst writing although this was fun to do the toppers were heavy to write with when on top of the pencil. Resulting in not only my hand hurting after a while but also TJ's.

Although this was the worst part about the pencil toppers they can still be used off of the pencils as an ordinary rubber that can be taken off and put back on whenever needed.

I think these would be a fab extra for those kitten mad children as an extra stocking filler but that's just my opinion as I like to make sure I shop early for presents.

TJ received his Little passports letter.

This morning TJ received his second little passports letter through the post, the only other time I've seen him so excited to see post come through was when he was getting ready to open a Disney parcel. I love seeing this look of excitement in his eyes.

Inside today's parcel came from Brazil
  • a letter
  •  a couple of stickers
  •  an amethyst stone
  •  a post card
  • quiz pages ( for use with the map)

After inspecting each piece and reading through the letter twice TJ cracked on with the questions.
bringing the map down off the wall and placing it on the table. The first thing TJ asks is how do you unscramble letters.

Taking his time to work out the puzzles he soon finished, and worked out where our little friends were going next to eat.

Each month is a new country and we love to research a little bit more then what we receive in the little passports package.

Next month is Japan.

Secondary school and the beginnings of bullies

How cruel are children now a days?
Recently I've learnt how going from first to secondry school all about how nasty and bad mannered the children are in higher years.
Maybe it's just me but I believed in santa till I was at least 12 :/ yes I believed for many years. Perhaps it was just cos I always hoped for a puppy to be left in my stocking, perhaps for other reasons. But I never once remember an older child telling me he wasn't real and I never once told another child that I didn't believe,or that they shouldn't either.

A few children in the year above TJ have made it their mission to upset as many 1st years at their school by telling them at lunch time that santa doesn't exist.
For one of the families I think they need a lot of Christmas spirit with everything that's happening since they've had their daughters been born. Life has been very tough.
For me it's been hard watching from the sidelines and not being able to help. But hearing what I've heard about the older children and how cruel they are its just infuriating that they are allowed to get away with it and the school can't do anything.
Am I being over protective??
